Towards A Directory of Irish Criminological Research is a project initiated by the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice and launched by the Minister for Justice Equality and Law Reform, Mr Brian Lenihan TD, on 16 July 2007. The aim of the directory is to provide an accessible overview of current criminologcal research in the Republic of Ireland. The Directory includes research currently being undertaken by academics, research centres, Ph.D students, as well as research commissioned by statutory bodies. This directory is still at an experimental stage, and we invite others engaged in criminological research, but not included in the directory, to submit information for inclusion.

This Directory was compiled by Margaret O'Shea - Research Intern, Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice. She was assisted by Adam Coughlan, Stephen Curtis and Molly O'Dwyer, students participating in the UCD Quinn School of Business Service Learning Module. This project was supervised by Tony O'Riordan, Director, Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice.
