About the Centre Print E-mail

The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice is a centre for social research and action which seeks to respond to situations of structural injustice. It is sponsored by the Irish Jesuits. Our activities include:

Theological Reflection
The Centre endeavors to help Christian groups reflect on the social issues affecting them, in the light of the Gospel and Christian social teaching

Research
We do research relevant to marginalised groups, such as prisoners, asylum seekers, the mentally ill, etc.

Working Notes
We publish the journal "Working Notes" three times yearly. Each issue contains an in depth analysis of social and economic issues as they affect the most needy in Irish society.

Evaluation
The Centre has wide experience in evaluating community projects that seek to address disadvantage.

Social Analysis
We help community and other groups analyze the root causes of injustices and inequalities which affect them.

Support to those in need.
Staff work with others to help

  • Long term unemployed
  • Early school leavers
  • Homeless young people
  • Asylum seekers and Immigrants
  • Prisoners

Policy Reform
We campaign with other groups to achieve structural change for the above named groups.
